Distributor Entergraphics: Xenetech’s Exclusive Distributor in Tennessee
Meet distributor Entergraphics.
Glen Taylor and his wife Rita established their business in 1985 in Kodak, TN, a town south of Knoxville. The couple purchased a trophy shop whose only equipment was a manual pantograph engraver. Two years later they purchased their first computerized engraver. “It was an HSquare 1219, we were running DesignCad and we were probably the first in the Knoxville area that had the ability to digitize logos,” recalls Glen. A few years later, they purchased another HSquare and were the first in Eastern Tennessee to produce ADA signage and sold these signs on an wholesale basis to many sign shops for a number of years.
With a successful trophy and engraving business underway, Glen was approached by embroidery and engraving machine manufacturer, Meistergram of North Carolina, in 1993 to sell their line of engraving systems. Glen accepted the job and began selling the Meistergram rotary and laser engraving equipment. Then in 1996, Xenetech purchased Meistergram’s engraving machine division and made offers to current Meistergram distributors to stay with Xenetech. Glen recalls that he had other offers but moved to Xenetech. “I remember being offered more territory to work for one of Xenetech’s competitors. It was a tough decision, but after careful consideration and prayer, I felt we were guided toward Xenetech. The staff at Xenetech made us feel very comfortable and their sales and technical support were superior to those of their competitors. We made the right decision,” states Glen.
Entergraphics under Glen’s leadership has remained an active distributor for Xenetech over the past 12 years. Sales for the Xenetech distributor are up significantly this year and the variety of equipment and the variety of customers are notable. “Glen sells rotaries and lasers and he sells to large and small companies,” states Xenetech President Guy Barone. “Glen has a great deal in common with other Xenetech distributors in that he is an extremely experienced engraver. He is a great listener and understands what the customer wants. He is quick to respond and I believe customers deeply appreciate the level of care he gives,” continues Guy.
Entergraphics rolls throughout the state of Tennessee. If you live in Tennessee, you can probably find Glen and his wife and business partner Rita at a trophy shop, sign manufacturer, or corporate engraving department near you.
