Stimulus by Investment
March 12, 2009

There are some specific things you can do to maintain, and in fact increase, your engraving productivity with your existing equipment. There has never been a better time to have your assets fully working for your business. Here is a list of cost effective steps you can take to get the most from your existing investment:

Retrofit!
A cost effective way to increase your engraving speed by up to three times your current speed, update to the latest software and operating systems, take advantage of fast Ethernet communications, utilize the control of a touch screen pendant with job preview capability, and extend your warranty for two years on the electronics portion of your system, is to purchase Viper Electronics for your table. Upgrading your system to Viper allows you to keep your engraving table and only replace what is outdated due to functional obsolescence. Because you will be able to use the same jobs and the new electronics easily plug into your existing table, you will realize productivity benefits immediately. Xenetech routinely offers trade-in credits toward the purchase of new Viper electronics.

Repair!
Xenetech offers a wide variety of repair services. Listen to your system. If your spindle is grinding or making a noise, it may be time for you to send it to us for repair before is seizes. In addition, pulley’s begin to whine before they give out. With many years of use, leadscrew nuts wear, presenting poor engraving letter quality. Motor brushes also wear over time and should be checked frequently. Belts and pulleys wear on your laser which also result in poor letter quality. Failure to pay attention to these items may lead to catastrophic failure down the road. Contact Xenetech Customer Service or the Xenetech Knowledgebase for information on checking these issues to ensure no or limited downtime from your system.

On Site Service!
Authorized Xenetech distributors are available to come on site to perform repairs and/or provide preventative maintenance services for your system. Our distributors are also qualified to train you and your staff on use of our XGW engraving application software, third party software, and our hardware so that your business is getting the most from your Xenetech system. Contact your distributor directly or call or e-mail Xenetech Customer Service for information regarding the distributor for your area.

Keep Spare Parts!
Xenetech Customer Service recommends that you keep certain spare parts on hand to prevent lost production time. For rotary systems: Belts, Motor Brushes, Lube, Diamond Tip, Cutters, Spindle, and if you own Microstepper electronics, a driver board. For laser systems: belts, pulley, and optics (if you have a history of purchasing these).

Maintenance and Extended Warranties Support!
Information on maintenance and maintenance posters for your system are available for you on the Xenetech website in the Knowledgebase. Xenetech also offers no-worry extended warranties and low cost telephone contracts for customers out of warranty. Please contact us for more information on these programs.

Sometimes making the most of what you currently own makes the most sense. If that is the direction you chose, we’re here to support you in making this happen.
