Software Requirements and Prerequisites

.
While users may have success with 64-bit windows for daily operations, in order to run the laser driver to output from all non-Xenetech supplied software, users must use the 32-bit operating system versions.

Required Hardware Windows XP or Vista

  • Pentium 4 processor or better (Intel recommended)
  • 512 MB RAM (1-2 GB recommended)
  • One Network Interface Card (for one-to-many  or many-to-many networks), a network switch (preferred over a hub) should be used.
*Two network adapters can be used to isolate network communication, but must be configured for unique subnets.
  • For Vista, a video card marked as "Designed for Windows Vista" should be used. Peripheral video adapters are preferred over on-board or shared video
  • Windows 7 IS supported. However, at the current time, the 32-bit version is necessary if you are running the laser print driver. For all other software, 64-bit Windows IS supported.
  • There is no official ISA-based APU board support for Windows Vista and Windows 7.
  • PCI-based APU boards will work in Windows 7, but only in the 32-bit version of the operating system. The PCI driver WILL NOT install under the 64-bit version of Windows 7.

Required Hardware Windows 7 or 8

  • Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i3CPU 540 @ 3.00 GHz
  • Installed Memory 4.00GB recommended
  • One Network Interface Card (for one-to-many  or many-to-many networks), a network switch (preferred over a hub) should be used.
  • There is no official ISA-based APU board support for Windows 7or Windows 8
  • PCI-based APU boards will work in Windows 7, but only in the 32-bit version of the operating system. The PCI driver WILL NOT install under the 64-bit version of Windows 7.
