Bucks and Bangs
I regularly talk to customers who would like to increase productivity but want to wait before buying a new machine. I want you to know that older machines can often be retrofitted with the newest electronics and sofware, and all without the expense of a whole new engraving system. - Gary McNatt, Technical Support
Focusing on the Issues
When auto focusing an XL laser you may notice that the engraving table does not come into contact with the focus plunger before going down to the focal position. If this occurs the laser can not utilize optimum focal power and you will lose a majority of your performance. To solve this, remove all material from the laser’s engraving table and move the lens carriage out of the top left corner. Under the service menu, select “TABLE HOME” and then “RESET TABLE.” The table will now raise up to engage the auto focus plunger and will lower to the correct focal position. - Jason Minton, Technical Support
